WAVERLEY'S chief executive has stressed the council's commitment to its partnership with Crest Nicholson Sainsbury's for the regeneration of East Street.
Mary Orton's statement came as the chairman of the Farnham Society called for councillors to meet representatives of the society to clear up "misunderstandings" and "resolve many of the problems and uncertainties that exist" in connection with the project.
Since the longstop date on the contract was reached on December 31 without the scheme achieving viability or the necessary land assembly, opponents have probed, often in vain, for information on the current situation relating to the contract.
