FARNHAM has been named as one of the 10 best places to live in the South East of England by The Sunday Times.
In its Best Places to Live in Britain supplement at the weekend, The Sunday Times praised the Surrey town for its historic buildings, transport links, excellent schools and abundant green space.
It said: "Packed with historic buildings, and overlooked by a sprawling 900-year-old motte-and-bailey castle...Farnham has plenty of green space, not to mention intriguing old lanes that lead to secret gardens."
The report also made reference to the "outstanding" South Farnham School and the University for the Creative Arts, which adds "a welcome boho vibe" to the town centre.
It did, however, add that residents' main gripe was with the town's "outdated one-way system" and admitted living in the town comes at a cost, with three bedroom Edwardian semis starting at £315,000 and train season tickets costing £3,600.
