East Hampshire District Council’s Local Plan consultation begins today and is seeking residents’ views on issues such as the climate emergency and population change.

The Local Plan will set out how homes, jobs and services are provided in the parts of East Hampshire outside the South Downs National Park over the next 20 years.

The council is hosting drop-in events at the Alton Assembly Rooms on December 7, and the Forest Community Centre in Bordon on December 8, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.

It closes on January 16. Paper copies are available from Alton, Liphook and Bordon libraries and Whitehill Town Council. Take part online at www.easthants.gov.uk/lp-consultation
