NOT only Grayshott sub postmaster Noel Reidy, but also his son and two daughters are taking part in the London Marathon.

Noel, Josh, Olivia and Ellie are running with their dad to raise £10,000 for Guildford-based Challengers, which supports disabled youngsters.

Noel said: “The response from Grayshott is fantastic. We hosted a Valentine’s ball at Grayshott Village hall in February and raised more than £6,500 towards our target of £10,000.

“Ellie has joined a London Adidas runners club, Josh who lives and works in Amsterdam, has followed an experienced runners plan and Olivia is following a similar plan.

“Five months ago I was not running at all, whereas now I average 45km to 60km a week.

“I have recruited my wife Michelle in my quest to be marathon ready and we can be seen frequently around Grayshott, Hindhead and the Punch Bowl, with me running and Michelle cycling whilst shouting encouragement. We are all looking forward to the big day.”
