A FARNHAM employee at South East Water has been celebrated after clocking up 25 years of service for the company.
Andrew Collins received a framed long-service certificate from South East Water’s managing director Paul Butler at a special presentation earlier this month.
Currently working as an operations and apprentice training manager, Andrew oversees the company’s apprenticeship programme and training for all operational staff.
Andrew has enjoyed a long and successful career in the water industry, starting out as a technician for Thames Water in 1979 and also going on to work for Pipeway on a Thames Water contract.
Since joining Mid Southern Water, now South East Water, in February 1992, he has enjoyed a number of roles including engineering technician, leakage manager and distribution manager.
Andrew said: “I am very thankful for the different opportunities the water industry has provided me. The work has been varied and no two days are the same.”
In presenting the long-service award, Paul Butler said: “Andrew has shown, and continues to show, dedication to his job, his team and to the company.
“The water industry has seen many changes in the years he has been working here, but he has taken it all in his stride continuing to work hard so we can keep providing top quality water and an excellent five out of five service.”
