WORK was due to start today installing traffic-calming measures on Longmoor Road.

The measures are part of Taylor Wimpey’s Oak Park Lowsley Farm development, and are likely to last 16 weeks.

The developer is working with Hampshire highways to improve the road network by installing a new roundabout for access into the development, as well as reduce the speed limit, build road-narrowing features and improve the existing road markings along Longmoor Road, between Griggs Green Farm and Bohunt School.

Taylor Wimpey technical director Dan Castle said: “We apologise for any inconvenience the roadworks may cause, but would like to assure people we are working to ensure the improvements are carried out as quickly as possible, keeping disruption to an absolute minimum.”
