THE A339 Alton to Basingstoke road was closed for more than 10 hours at Lasham last Thursday when an articulated lorry carrying animal feed overturned on waterworks bend, trapping the driver.
Police were called at 10.10am to the incident which involved just the one vehicle, travelling north out of Alton.
According to a Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman, the male driver was trapped under the vehicle and was taken by road ambulance to North Hampshire Hospital at Basingstoke.
South Central Ambulance Service sent a rapid response vehicle, a hazardous area response team and an ambulance to the scene where they administered first aid to the man in his 60s who was then transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police sealed off the road until 8.40pm to allow recovery of the vehicle and removal of debris.
Anyone with information relating to the incident should call Alton police on 101.
