HASLEMERE Border Athletics Club is hoping to attract lottery funding to cover 50 per cent of its plans for a new athletics track at Woolmer Hill sports ground.

The club will be submitting its lottery application for £91,000 towards the £182,000 project early next year. Waverley Borough Council has already promised £61,000 towards the scheme from its matched-funding budget.
