A SECOND football charity fun day will be held at Haslemere Community Rugby Club next month, in memory of teenager ‘Jaz’ Bush, who sadly died in a rail accident a year ago today (Aug 24).
Three family friends Ben Susans, Carl Thayre and Adam Bicknell, mounted a memorial football tournament for the Woolmer Hill student on December 10 last year, in which her old team played, and also family members wearing specially sponsored kit.
The event raised more than £10,500 for the charities Young Minds and the National Autistic Society, Surrey branch.
Ben said: “The Bush family were overwhelmed with the love and support for last year’s event and myself, Carl and Adam along with the help of many others are hoping we can make this year another great one in Jaz’s memory.”
This year’s match takes place at midday, on Sunday, September 30.
