WHITEHILL and Bordon residents got the chance to vote on the future development of their town this week – and with a lowly 5.9 per cent turn out, the parish poll clearly failed to capture the town's imagination.
But the Bordon Area Action Group, which had called the parish poll, said it was not surprised with the low turnout and members still believed the vote represented clear opposition to the "over-development" of the town.
