SIXTY-two new affordable properties will be built by Taylor Wimpey as part of the phase one development at Lowsley Farm, out of a total of 155 new dwellings.

Of the 62 new properties, 37 will be available as part of the East Hampshire District Council’s choice-based letting scheme. The other 25 will offer a part-rent, part-buy option.

EHDC planning portfolio head Angela Glass said: “Sentinel have approached Taylor Wimpey, and this is the proposed allocation for Lowsley Farm’s phase one.”

Julie Porter, assistant director of development at Sentinel, said: “We’re delighted to be able to supply affordable homes in Liphook, including being able to offer a home ownership option in an area where it’s becoming increasingly difficult for those from the surrounding area to get a foot on the property ladder.

“As a leading housing association in Hampshire, we’re tackling the shortage of affordable housing with ambitious plans to provide an average of 600 new homes every year.”

The new homes range from one-bedroom flats to four-bedroom houses and are due to be completed from 2019.
