LAWN Tennis Association president Cathie Sabin officially opened the Tilford and Rushmoor community tennis club on Saturday.

A large crowd turned out to witness the grand opening of the new club's tennis courts, based in Tilford Road opposite the Stockbridge car park and part-funded by the community, writes Evie Davey.

Young tennis stars of the future were given the chance to christen the courts, and pupils from All Saints School were given a short coaching session.
