THREE people escaped serious injury when their car slid off the road on Harting Hill and plunged down a steep bank before coming to a halt on its roof.

The accident happened around 9.20pm on Easter Saturday when the Vauxhall Vectra driven by Hugh Chalker skidded off the B21486 as it was heading toward South Harting.
Mr Chalker, 24, who was travelling from Lancing back to his home in Basingstoke, was taken to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester by ambulance with a broken collarbone and released the next day.
