WITH just one month to the off, four 'Lumley's Lads', from Milland, have been training to take part in Trailwalker – the annual 100km non-stop walk along the South Downs Way from Petersfield to Brighton, in aid of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
The walkers are being backed by actress Joanna Lumley – dubbed a national treasure, having been the public face of the campaign for justice for the soldiers of the Gurkha Regiments and their dependants, who have been granted UK residency after a bitter and protracted campaign fronted by the New Avengers girl.
