A SCOTTISH village has been under construction at Hankley Common, as the heathland where scenes were shot for the Bond film Skyfall becomes the setting for Macbeth.

See-Saw, the company that made The King's Speech, is shooting a film version using Shakespeare's original verse. Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard will star as Lady Macbeth alongside Michael Fassbender.

Planning consent for the filming has been granted by Waverley Borough Council.
