FEARS that "unsound" housing targets could derail Waverley's draft planning blueprint until 2028 have forced a major rethink.
At Tuesday's decision-making executive meeting, members agreed not to submit Waverley Borough Council's core strategy to the Government for examination as planned, due to concerns not enough new housing had been proposed.
Objectors protested that not only do the numbers proposed fall short of the Government's latest targets but also that a key site for possible housing, Dunsfold Park, has been taken out of the equation.
