POLICE are appealing for information after one man was attacked with a shovel and another left with a suspected broken jaw during a series of violent assaults in Farnham.
Two men, aged 21 and 28, have already been arrested in connection with the three assaults which took place in the Firgrove Hill area over the evening of Friday, June 17, and are currently on police bail.
However, detectives have asked the public for help piecing together the timeline of the violent events.
Police believe the first assault occurred at 9pm near The William Cobbett pub where a woman claims to have been assaulted by a man known to her.
This was followed by an “altercation” involving two men between 9.30pm and 10pm in Sheephouse near the junction with Firgrove Hill.
The third and final incident took place at around 10.45pm again between two men, resulting in one of the men sustaining injuries to his legs and the other suffering serious head injuries after being hit with a shovel.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said: “Were you at The William Cobbett pub that night? Did you see the altercation in Sheephouse? Call us with any information on 101 quoting 45160051633.”
Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
