A BORDON man was charged with violent disorder following an incident in Aldershot that left a man hospitalised.

Police officers investigating a public order incident on Station Road, Aldershot, at around 1am on March 20, charged Eli Matthews, 45, of Ladysmith Place, with one count of violent disorder.

A Godalming man was also charged with violent disorder and a man from Normandy, in Surrey, was charged with possession of a bladed article in public, wounding with intent, and violent disorder.

The alleged victim was left with cuts to his torso which required hospital treatment.

The three men have been bailed to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on November 24.

Two other men have been sent postal requisitions, and will be formally charged with violent disorder at the court on November 24.

A sixth man, not from Hampshire and who was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, will face no further action.
