A BORDON man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Bordon Working MenÕs Club on Boxing Day.

Carl Forbes (40), of Alma Road, appeared before Basingstoke magistrates last Friday accused of stabbing and attempting to murder Thomas Price (30), of South Hurst, Whitehill.

He has been granted bail until a plea and directions hearing at Winchester Crown Court on February 22.

During the incident inside the Varna Road clubÕs pool room on Boxing Day at around 9 pm, Mr Price received a number of stab wounds believed to have been inflicted by a knife.

He was taken to Frimley Park Hospital with serious injuries to his side, eventually being discharged at the beginning of this week.
