A YOUNG man was struck and killed by a car after he stopped to help a woman on the A3 on Monday night.

Shoplifter banned from wearing wigs after series of thefts across East HampshireJamie Bellion, 21, of North Shore Road in Hayling Island, was driving a white Vauxhall Astra southbound near the Liphook services when he pulled over to assist the woman, also in her 20s, whose blue Mini had broken down.
The man was standing by the driverÕs door of the Mini just after 11 pm when he was struck by a red Nissan Sunny travelling south which then stopped.
The man died at the scene while the driver of the Mini, also from Hayling Island, was badly shaken but did not require hospital treatment.
