A MAN died after his car came off the road in Alma Lane, Upper Hale, at the weekend and crashed into a house, narrowly avoiding hitting a family out walking.

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal crash at the junction of Alma Lane and Heath Lane around 12.07pm on Sunday, December 8.

Officers said the man's silver Mitsubishi Shogun collided with a black Peugeot 107 before leaving the road, hitting another parked vehicle and crashing through a hedge.
