AN Alton teenager has been charged with murder following the death of a baby in Bordon last year.

Joshua Martin, 19, of Salisbury Close, Alton, was charged on Wednesday with one count of murder in relation to the death of his seven-week-old daughter.

Police officers were notified that a baby girl had been taken unwell to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford following an incident at a flat in New Road, Bordon, on June 28 last year.

The baby, Ezmai Martin, was subsequently transferred to St George’s Hospital in London, where she later died.

Martin has been remanded in custody and was due to appear at Winchester Crown Court today.
