A TONGHAM man has been jailed as part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour in Aldershot town centre.

Daryl William Gilks, 30, of Carfax Avenue, was jailed for three months at Aldershot County Court on Wednesday last week for breaches of undertakings given to the court following civil injunction proceedings brought by Rushmoor Borough Council.

Co-defendant Victoria Ratcliffe, 25, of no fixed abode, was also jailed for one-month for the same offence.

The use of civil injunction proceedings is just one part of a response from a number of agencies, including Hampshire Constabulary and Rushmoor Borough Council, to issues including homelessness, street drinking and assaults.
