AN arrest has been made following police investigations into a robbery at Churt last month, when a resident was threatened with a knife and left tied up by men in balaclavas. A 30-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail until October 31. The victim, a man in his 50s who had already reported a burglary at his Tilford Road house that week, was disturbed by the three white men who entered the property at around 10-15pm on August 12. One of them was armed with what was described as a kitchen knife. After helping themselves to four watches, a mobile phone and audio and computer equipment, they left the victim, who received slight injuries, tied up with cables. The thieves also stole a blue VW Passat and a black Porsche GT3 Coupe. In the earlier burglary, overnight on August 6/7, thieves broke in through a kitchen window and escaped with computer equipment, also taking two vehicles on that occasion - a grey Mitsubishi pick- up and a yellow Renault Megane. Two of the vehicles were recovered within days of having been stolen. The pick-up was recovered in Ash and the Porsche was located in Bracknell.
