POLICE are appealing for help from the public following a "terrifying" robbery in Weybourne last week in which a man was tied up by intruders.

The incident happened when three men wearing balaclavas and gloves forced their way into the man's home between 7pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 5.

The victim, who had rushed outside his home when the offenders claimed a dog had been run over, went back inside and was made to sit down and his hands were tied up.

The suspects demanded money and threatened to harm him and his dog before searching the property, stealing cash and a watch before untying the man's hands and making off in a car parked on the driveway.

A silver Subaru estate with the registration number R107 ATR was later found burnt out on Elstead Road near Seale.
