THE £500 proceeds of a Tercentenary Dinner held by the Waverley Masonic Lodge to celebrate 300 years of English Freemasonry have been presented to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

Farnham Rock Choir entertained the guests at the dinner, which was attended by the then Mayor of Farnham, Mike Hodge. Both Tom George of Rock Choir and Trevor Boswell, Master of Waverley Masonic Lodge, chose to donate the money raised to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

“We would like to thank Farnham Rock Choir and the Farnham Masonic Centre for their much-appreciated generosity and support,” said Charli Quay-Barnham, community fundraising manager at Phyllis Tuckwell.

“Five hundred pounds could pay for nearly three days’ care from one of our nurses, who visit patients who have chosen to spend their last days at home.”
