HEALTH officials have refuted rumours that the town's maternity unit is under threat of closure, and say stories to the contrary are "totally untrue."
"There are no plans whatsoever to close The Grange," Pat Cooper, the head of midwifery on the maternity management team for the NHS Portsmouth Hospital Trust, told The Herald.
