ST Peter’s pupils welcomed Farnham town mayor Mike Hodge last week to open its new trim trail.
The new outdoor play area provides a physical challenge for all age groups and will contribute to keeping children fit and healthy.
Headteacher Sarah Dunning explained: “The children have been looking forward to this for some time. The School Council canvassed their classmates’ ideas so the final design is based on what the children across the school asked for.
“We are indebted to the financial support provided by our fabulous PTFA and the parents at St Peter’s. This facility will be enjoyed by generations of St Peter’s pupils to come.”
To further support learning in the outdoor environment, St Peter’s benefits from a dedicated Forest School area which is used to support curriculum learning and an all-weather running track which enables pupils to run for 10 to 15 minutes every day of the year.
