CONCERNS over the lack of police presence in the town at night and the length of time it takes for emergency services to arrive are to be taken to the top.

Haslemere mayor Jim Edwards is to back up local businesses by writing to police and ambulance chiefs, along with South West Surrey MP Jeremy Hunt, Home Secretary Theresa May and Andrew Lansley, Secretary of State for Health.
