AN art exhibition by Woolmer Hill school students was visited by Haslemere Mayor Sahran Abeysundara. The private viewing on October 6 featured some of the work of GCSE art and photography students.

Guests and the mayor were particularly impressed with the 3D pieces on display.

A school spokesman said: “Representatives of local 6th form colleges enjoyed seeing the high quality work and commented on how much they are enjoying working with the students now that they have gone on to study the subjects at A-level.”

The Haslemere branch of the Decorative and Fine Arts Society (NADFAS) presents an award each year and this year’s winner was former year 11 student Eloise Atter.
