COUNCILLORS have given the go-ahead to a £15,000 scheme to install additional lighting and an improved power supply in Gostrey Meadow.
The new scheme will see the installation of new lamp columns near the bridge and at the war memorial, extension of the lighting at the police station end of the park, and an upgrade of the existing power supply.
The town council uses Gostrey Meadow as its main location for the delivery of an annual programme of events, including Music in the Meadow and the Christmas lights switch-on.
