ONE of the founder members of Liphook's annual LiDBA charity bike ride has just been recognised for his charitable services in the Queen's birthday honours list.

Richard Charles Beynon is due to be presented with his British Empire Medal by the High Sheriff of Hampshire, Giles Marshall Hallam Mills, who is the Queen's representative for the county.

He will also be invited to attend one of the Queen's garden parties at Buckingham Palace next summer.
