THE London Olympics not only brought out the best of British, but also the best in the local community.
Proud of our achievements in the Games, Beth Marr of A3 Sports in The Square has dedicated an entire window to Team GB's medal table.
A total of 65 medals, including 29 golds, are on display to celebrate the success of the nation – and this week brought together four local heroes, who were, and still are, playing their part in the Olympics.
Andy Johnston, who took part in the opening and closing ceremonies – and who will also participate in both Paralympic ceremonies, together with Kerry Moss, as well as two torchbearers, Coca Cola's Future Flame Dom Raeyen and Lloyds TSB Bank manager James Hardwick, came along to swap their stories.
