ALTON College is to hold a meeting to discuss parking issues in nearby residential roads. The evening is by invitation only to residents and on Thursday, June 5, starting 6.30pm in the Berkoff Performing Arts Centre at Alton College. Invitations are extended to residents of Old Odiham Road, Alexander Road, Edward Road, Linnets Way, Lipscombe Rise, Wooteys Way (from Linnets Way to Gilbert White Way), Cherry Way, Walnut Close, Greenfields Avenue (from Old Odiham Road to Southview Rise), Nursery Road and Pound Gate. RSVPs will be enclosed, to be returned by next Friday, and they will include provision for questions or comments people may wish to make at the meeting. The meeting will be chaired by councillor Pam Bradford, and will be attended by representatives from East Hampshire District Council, Alton Police, an elected member of Hampshire County Council, the local Traffic Warden and Alton College senior staff, led by Principal Jane Machell.
