THE leader of Surrey County Council has intervened in the row over town centre parking charges.
David Hodge has stepped in to set up a meeting between Pat Frost, the chairman of the county's local committee, and representatives of Haslemere Chamber of Trade, St Bart's School, St Stephen's Church, Haslemere Hall, Haslemere Museum, and residents groups.
It follows a plea from Nikki and Jeremy Barton – part of the action group against the proposals in instigate charges.
