AN open meeting has been arranged for people to find out about the Localism Act and how it could shape the future of Haslemere.
The town could be a trailblazer in taking on new community rights which, with the passing of the act, came into effect in April, devolving power from government to local authorities and from local authorities to communities.
The organisers are hoping everybody who cares about the town and its future – and who would like to have a say on the subject – will attend the meeting at Haslemere Museum, on Thursday, September 27.
