A YOUNG dancer from Petersfield is jumping for joy after getting a place at one of the world's most famous ballet schools.

Megan Knowles has the world at her nimble feet after claiming one of 24 places at the Royal Ballet School in Richmond Park.

The 11-year-old schoolgirl from Stafford Road was picked ahead of hundreds of young dancers from across the world following a round of auditions.

The stage is now set for Megan to appear in the ballet school's Christmas production of The Nutcracker and some of the world's most prestigious shows.
