A LOCAL family trust is coming under increasing pressure to improve the appearance of several buildings it owns in central Haslemere, and to indicate how it sees these buildings fitting into the future of the town.

The Gibbs Trust owns several prime sites in the town, including the building formerly occupied by Moore and Clark in Lower Street and the former fish shop and what used to be the shoe shop on the corner of the High Street.

Managing trustee, Simon Hodgins, has so far refused to comment on the trust's plans for the future of the buildings.
