HASLEMERE residents who successfully campaigned against additional mobile phone transmitters on top of Haslemere fire station are angry that planning permission has been granted on appeal.
Oaklands residents joined forces in February to oppose Mercury One-to-One's plan for five aerial transmitters in West Street and were delighted when the application was turned down. However, an appeal was launched in July and the plans have now been given the go-ahead.
