RENOWNED author Jeff Norton visited Midhurst Rother College last month as part of a tour organised by the Portsmouth school library service.

Jeff gave a talk to year seven students, year five and six students from Easebourne Primary, Duncton Junior and Midhurst primary ,schools who were invited to Midhurst Rother College for the event.

Canadian-born, Jeff previously managed the estates of Enid Blyton, and is now the author of successful books for young people himself.

He has written the high tech Metawars series as well as Memoirs of a Neurotic Zombie and a picture book for younger readers, Stomp.

College librarian Nikki Williams said: “Events such as this encourage a love of reading and books.

“It was wonderful to see the way our students engaged with Jeff and asked so many interesting questions. I am sure many will read the Metawars series now, and will perhaps be inspired to write something themselves.”
