MILL Chase Community School has improved its position in the county's performance league tables jumping eight places to 74th from a total of 95 secondary schools and colleges.

The Hampshire league table, which does not include schools from either Portsmouth or Southampton, shows that 42 per cent of last year's Mill Chase pupils sitting GCSE exams achieved at least five A* - C grades.
