THE light appears to be dimming on plans for a son et lumiere and pageant in Petersfield to celebrate the millennium.

This week chairman of the Millennium 2000 group, former mayor of Petersfield John Holt, said there was only a 50/50 chance that the pageant would go ahead despite the fact that organiser have been awarded a £3,000 lottery grant to help stage the event.
