ONE of Petetersfield's best-known High Street stores has closed its doors for the last time.

Millets, a familiar name in the town for more than 10 years, shut up shop on Sunday leaving five employees facing an uncertain future as Christmas fast approaches.

The blame for the latest High Street closure is being put on ever-increasing rents in the town. It is understood that staff were given just two weeks notice of the impending closure of the outdoors clothing and equipment specialist.
