Sir, – I must correct a misleading, or incorrect statement made by Jack Walshaw representative of BAAG.

The statement is where Jack Warshaw said "The resignations of Ferris Cowper, and portfolio holder Ian Dowdle should have been seen as an opportunity to take Bordon's future out of narrow party politics, instead their Tory replacements have no connection with Bordon at all."

During the time both Ferris and myself were involved directly with the Whitehill Bordon project, party politics was not tolerated, and in fact cross party working was in practice, between Independents, Lib Dems, and Conservatives.

In fact, an individual's personal political preference was neither asked of an individual, nor wanted.

Local people, people from local towns and communities, even members of BAAG, were on local policy advisory groups ( PAGs ).

The LibDem minority group, have already gone on record to state they would like the cross party system to continue working.

I continue to work on a non-political cross party basis, with other elected representatives in our town, we collectively work for the good of the town.

I would call on all local groups, including BAAG, to constructively work with other groups, for the best possible outcome for the Whitehill Bordon project, to the benefit of residents.

Jack you are correct with the last part of your statement ... "instead their Tory replacements have no connection with Bordon at all".

So surely this as no other time is when people need to work together?
