THE body of a man renowned for his jokes and "random texts" has been discovered near Petersfield.

Flowers have been placed in Queen Elizabeth Country Park following the death of 27-year-old Byron Cottee. A massive search was launched on September 11 after the young father from Grange Road was reported missing by his mother. His body was found by a walker on War Down last Thursday morning before being formally identified.

Hampshire Police are preparing a file for the coroner and say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
