THE body of a missing Bordon man was found in woods off Station Road on Sunday morning .

Kevin Hope (43), of Ladysmith Place, who had a medical condition and had collapsed previously, went missing on Saturday morning while out walking his dog.

Police officers from Whitehill and the surrounding area and a dog unit conducted a search of the woodland at around 1 am on Sunday after the dog returned home without Mr Hope.

Air sea rescue also searched the woods using heat-seeking equipment.

The search was called off at midday, after around 11 hours, when a dog handler found Mr Hope's body in the woods.

A post mortem has been carried out to establish the cause of death, which police are not treating as suspicious, and an inquest will be held.

A date for the inquest has not yet been set.
