MISSING Farnham teenager Esme Smith has been found "safe and well" in north London but is reportedly refusing to come home or co-operate with the police some two weeks after her disappearance.

The 14-year-old All Hallows Catholic School pupil and daughter of a Nato commander went missing on September 12 and was only found by chance after a passer by in London recognised her face from the police media campaign.

A call was made to Surrey Police by the Metropolitan Police at around 9.40am on Monday to say that Esme was at a North London police station, and officers have interviewed her at length to establish where she had been.

However, according to reports from north London, the teenager has so far refused to answer questions and has also refused to return to her home in Farnham. She is currently being cared for by social services.
