CHIDDINGFOLD eventer Molly Key collected two trophies and a special prize at the South East Eventers League awards night at the Seahorse Ball at Ardingly.

The 18-year-old won the Coakham Masters Junior title and her own sponsor's (Hungry Horse) Surrey rankings, with five good league placings on Clare Heron's 11-year-old grey gelding, Jesters Quest, including second in an intermediate at Tidworth near Salisbury and an intermediate win at Tweseldown.

She also received the new Equissage Young Achievement Award from Kim Smith-Bingham of the equine physiotherapy experts.

This earns her a week's training with top eventer Tiny Clapham.

In their last outing, Molly and Jesters Quest won the Jumpers Horseline Junior Regional novice championships at Weston Park. More recently, Molly and her seven-year-old, Double Act, won the Aldon two-day event.

Molly's family, especially mother Jane, with whom she runs a yard in Chiddingfold, have proved a strong supportive team throughout 2002.

Also featuring in the league awards was Nicola Wilson (Milland) who was second in the Coakham Juniors with Nikkelaj after a brilliant fourth in the Arena Leisure Windsor three-day event.

A fourth at Windsor also ensured that Robert Lemieux, riding Robin and Bunny Patrick's Ivor Mission, was second in the Dodson & Horrell Leading Horse & Riders, having opened their account with an intermediate second at Tidworth.

Bryony Holloway (Thursley) was third in the Hungry Horse Surrey rankings and sixth in the Dodson & Horrell Owner-Riders with Just Josh.

'MJ' Tumbridge of Haslemere came fifth in the Moorcroft Racing Welfare Centre Ex-Racehorses with Amanda and Patrick Rolfe's Spartan Rose, and eighth in the West Kington Mares on John Studd's Ginger May Killinghurst
