MOLOTOV Jukebox, renowned party purveyors of contemporary world music, will headline this year’s Alresford Music Festival, scheduled for June 10 at Arlebury Park.

Fronted by Natalia Tena (who you may recognise from Harry Potter and Game of Thrones), Molotov Jukebox is arguably the highest profile act the festival has signed as headliners.

Fusing an unrivalled stage presence with the sunny sounds of carnivals from around the world, the band is an explosion of colour and energy, mixing violins, accordions, vocals and rhythm in a blend of ska, latino, soul, funk and other jump-up styles.

They will play one of the five stages at the festival, featuring everything from rock and pop to indie, blues, folk, dance and jazz, made possible by the the festival’s extended layout which will provide room also for a Blues Jam Tent and ‘The Globe’ Theatre Tent.

More than 25 other acts are being finalised over the coming months, but this annual party is planned to be more exciting than ever in 2017.

In addition, the festival village will offer a huge choice of local and international food, including the Ringwood Fine Ale bar, plus more cocktail and cider bars than ever.

Other family entertainment will include circus activities, silent disco, bungee trampolining, climbing wall, zorbs, Mayflower Musical Youth Theatre, magic show, arts and crafts, music workshops, storytelling, street theatre, memory pod (a dress-up photo booth), and poolball.

Tickets range from £15, with under-fives getting in free.

Two-day, on-site camping will be available from 6pm on Friday, June 9, at a cost of £5 per person per day. The camp site closes on Sunday afternoon.

Hot breakfasts will be available on Sunday morning, there will be plenty of parking, plus facilities for motorhomes and camper vans close to the festival site.

Free shuttle bus services will be available from Alton and Winchester railway stations.

The festival is a not-for-profit event and money raised is given to regional, national and international music-based charities and other good causes.
