WAVERLEY Council has shelved a planning meeting that was scheduled for next week to decide an application for a temporary access bridge from the A31 to the East Street development site for construction traffic.
In a move that has delighted campaigners against the scheme, the council has requested significantly more information and evidence about the implications for the town's traffic and air quality, putting the decision back into the new year.
